Hello,

I have a thunderbolt x 8 months now and up until then all has been good. I recently received the update (as did my wife) that went out a month ago and self downloaded on our phones. We both use a single earbud/mic setup that worked great until I received this friggin update. When the earbud is connected I can hear the phone dialing and once the person answers I can BARELY (if at all) hear them but they can hear me (sometimes). The same goes for my wife's earbud.

Both earbuds worked great until the update and are less than a week old!!! I called Verizon and they told me to basically pound sand and contact the earbud manufacturer, since all supposedly checks out on their end.

Does anyone have an idea what happened?

Thanks

Yeah, I pretty much exhausted all the basic avenues that my limited knowledge allows me too.....I just dont understand how one day it works, I receive the update and neither phone works with the earbuds.

Just to confirm I am looking at the right stuff....is it in settings?

sorry for the rookie questions

Settings>sound>volume

one option is to root your phone and will more than likely fix the problem.

I adjusted the volume....sorry but I am not sure what you mean by "root"....any chance you can explain that and what it does.

Thanks for all the help!

there's an app in the Market called AudioManager - would you mind downloading it and checking all of your volumes to be sure they are up?

He don't need an app for something he can check under settings.
