Accessories Earbud Music Control

Hi, all-

I've had my HTC Inspire for two weeks and now I'm taking another look at the Atrix.

One thing I'm wondering about is earbuds and music control: Do all Android phones work the same way or does it vary by mfg'er?

I have a pair of Skull Candy FMJs w/inline mic and on my Inspire, the single button on the earbuds pauses and restarts what track is playing. If I double click the button, the Inspire will initiate voice dialing.

Does the Atrix work the same way?

Ideally I would like to be able to jump to the next track using the earbud control(s).

Interesting question - my initial thought would be yes due to software, but it'd be a good idea to go in the store and ask to try it.

I also am looking for music control for earbuds for the Inspire. Has you had any success?? If so do the earbuds comewith a mic which works.

I've tried more than 5 different sets of earphones - including the iphones!
None of them allow track forward/backward.

Double pressing - as you would do in an iphone to move a track forward - actually initiates the last dialled call!! This happened consistently on all the earphones I tried!!!
Perhaps there's a way to configure this in the android os itself?

I tried a pair of Denon earbuds with a mic and it kept wanting me to say voice commands
