early upgrade

So how is it that i hear of so many of you getting early upgrades. I called and was told not at this time i must wait til may 29th wich is the day of my upgrade.....we havr three phones,land line dsl . Never ever was late on a payment.i just dont get it
 
I'm wasn't due for an upgrade until March of 2012, but the girl called her manager and got it approved. I got $100 off the phone and paid the $18 upgrade fee. No problems here.
 
i called too but wasnt 100% on the inspire so they placed a note in my account to let me do an early upgrade when i decide if i want the inspire ($99) or atrix ($199). my upgrade really isnt until dec 2011.

maybe ask for a supervisor or the nice people at the customer rentention team and see what they can work out for you?

I was very happy considering I was going in there fully expecting to have to pay the full $399.99.

Holy crap. I got ripped off.

I still love my phone though!
 
so far the best they could offer is a secure price of 179.00 but only over the phone order i will go to the store this weekend asee if they will honor it
 
I am due for an upgrade march 18. I have a freaken bb 8310 that I've been stuck with for 2 years. They let my wife upgrade 6 months ago! I called seven times and every time they tell me I have to wait until my contract is up! The premier page says 399 for me no contract! WTF
 
go to the att store and tell them you want to do an early upgrade..
you're eligible for one as long as you're into your contract atleast 6 months..

early upgrade is usually the upgrade price plus $200, isn't it? or how does it work?
 
Early upgrade is the 2-year contract price plus an $18 upgrade fee.

So, in this case it would be $99 + $18 = $117.
 
I figure I'd throw my two cents in on this thread - I'm full-upgrade ready on the fourth of March and I am stoked to get my hands on this device. Considering I'm coming over from the dark side *cough* iPhone 3G *cough* I know it's going to be a breath of fresh air. Looking forward to being a part of this community of what really seems to be some great people. Cheers.

You could definitely get your phone now. I am full upgrade eligible on 3/16 and I am getting my phone tomorrow. Went in Monday, asked to get it, and the manager said that was fine. $99 and $18 upgrade fee. Had to get funds together or I would have done it right then and there.

When you go in, just be really nice, tell them you know you have an upgrade coming on the 4th and ask if you can get the phone now because you are so excited about it. At one point the saleswoman said I would have to do the $200 upgrade and I said I was more than willing to wait until 3/16. Then they agreed to the new contract price.

Oh wow; very interesting. I may just have to try that this weekend. Although I'll admit while being tortured to wait till the fourth is tough; it is kinda nice to look from afar and see all the good and band things that have been written by actual users. I'll still give it a try and report back in a couple days.
