Earphones replacement

I'd like to replace my stock stereo headset.
it seemed to cracked easily with 2 months of use does not fit my ear well.

any other suggestion of which brand should I buy? it seems to have compatibility issues. I have tried headsets from SE and Samsung and my desire S sounds awful when playing my mp3s. I haven't tried apple yet.
is there any other compatible brand?
I have searched the net, and found 1 with the sound magic brand name.
any reviews on desire s on this?

Just for listening to music or to use as a handsfree as well?

If just music then any decent set should be far better then the standard ones (they don't fit my ears well either). I bought a set of Sennheiser ones from Tesco and music is just so much better now!
