Help Earpiece randomly starts playing music

Every now and again my earpiece [Plantronics Voyager Pro] - which I have for voice phone use and text when I'm doing stuff - randomly launches into playing MP3s from my small music library. I can't seem to stop it when it does nor can I work out which player is being activated though it might be "music".

I can't replicate the conditions when it happens. It can go for days without doing it. Nothing in notifications and no consistent evidence in app manager.

Ideas?

Mine does that too every so often. I went in and turned off the music player and so far it has worked. Now I have been connecting to my bluetooth speaker lately and of course that re-started the music player. So far the ear peice problem has not surfaced...yet! Now I have been restarting my phone in the mournings 2-3 times a week....maybe clearing the cache helps...hell who knows!:D

I had a similar problem with music playing and unable to stop it until I rebooted the phone. I found out it was an app notification for a weather app that was triggering the music. As soon as I disabled the apps alarms and notifications the music problem stopped. Try disabling app notifications one app at a time to see if it works for you.

That's plausible if a bit off the wall. I have at least a dozen weather apps.

It's the blitzortung lightning app that caused it on my note 3. Since i disabled the alarms and notifications I've had no more unstoppable music. I only know it was that app cos we were having a storm and a notification appeared in the notification bar to say a lightning strike was close by and the music started playing. So I went into the app turned off alarms and the music stopped even though the alarms were set to silent and no track selected while alarm was switched on. Problem solved for me.
