So now there is an easier root, computer free. Provided to all of us by chainfire. Has been tested by krowbar and a few others at this time. This is NOT my work. This thread is now simply to direct people from AF to the right place. Be sure to read the op and thank chainfire for his continued commitment to the android community in entirety.

Looks good, too bad I am already rooted. My laptop is always handy, but i do like flashing ROMS and stuff on the fly.

I took the link.down after figuring out this particular one didn't work. However i am working on making our current tar that we flashed into oden that gave us root and agat into a flashable zip that is signed correctly so it can be flashed through stock recovery... Ill update as soon as i have something to update. Mr bobo on the zte warp did this for the warp. Im in the process of things
 
I'm looking forward to this easy method also since I'm planning on getting the S2 very soon.

I have plenty of white ones in my store. =P

The black one isn't sold in stores. This one popped up on Ebay. There are only a couple in circulation.

This is a great phone in any color, but i am partial to black, would love a black one. So its a black boost SGS2 r a sprint phone?

No it's part of the tiny shipment of new black ones Samsung made for Boost. Since they decided against making another shipment, the few that were leaked went to certain corporate representatives.

They listed them on Ebay. I've only seen 2 so far. I'm not sure if they recalled the rest or the reps kept them. Hmmm...
 
Well my store owner always have exclusives he did day he pulled some strings.Very cool guy,has like 7 black phones in stock but everyone here wanted the white one.I didn't know the black was that rare I'ma have to go pick up 2 of them now!

I am skeptical. LOL If they had that many, Why not sell them quick while they are still in mucho demand? I got mine the first week the phones were released.

There were more bidders and a higher price tag then the one recently sold on Ebay. Waiting too long isn't wise.

Since the black wasn't actually released, they know the value.
Any one who owns a Boost Mobile can see how rare this is.

Hope I didn't offend anyone, just my opinion.

Darn, I'll never root this phone! I'm scared I'll fubar it. LOL
