WARNING: I did this and it worked but i give no gaurantees that it will work for you. If your phone doesn't root, doesn't unlock, or bricks, i am very sorry but it isnt my problem. That said; i know very little about these phones and was able to do this in a short amount of time with no problem
You'll need the following
1. a little patience
2. hasoon2000's one v toolkit (its the one i used anyway)
3. win rar
4. a supersu zip
5. a cwm recovery
First, put your phone in to bootloader (power+ vol down) and go to fastboot, next, plug it in to your computer. On the toolkit, click "install htc drivers" then follow the instuctions to unlock bootloader.
In order to root, put the cwm recovery (properly labeled) in the folder marked recovery. Then, put the phone back into fastboot and click "my own recovery" and go.
After this, boot the phone to the home screen and mount as a disk drive then move the supersu zip to the phone. Next, boot into cwm recovery and flash the zip (after wiping all caches and data of course)
