Root Easiest Root Method

I don't personal own an HTC incredible 2, but just got done rooting my friends. Now after much reading & research about all that crap about having to RUU downgrade & Tacoroot I decided to treat it like my old HTC Evo 4G design & let me tell you guys " You are doing this root the hard way ". Here's what I did, 1st I unlocked the bootloader via HTCdev site, Then once the bootloader is unlocked you can Fastboot Clockwork Mod 6.0.1.1 touch zip. ( fastboot flash recovery recovery.img ) ( just make sure that the recovery.img file is where your adb is launched from, this goes for boot.img too).
Now pull the battery one more time & do an hboot & select recovery once in CWM flash Superusers_0.96.zip & this will permenantly root your HTC i2, then reboot & flash whatever roms you so desire. Just though i'd pass this along to you guys being as the other root methods are some bullsh@t. Anyway i still have all the filrs to pull this off if anybody needs help with getting the files. Keep in mind i DON'T OWN this phone so you'll have to PM me.

htcdev has its limitations, you may want to read up on that before criticizing the methods folks are using to achieve a real s-off and true freedom and ease of flashing their devices.

make sure your friend understands he will have to either fastboot boot his recovery for roms to install normally,or he will have to manually install the kernel with fastboot when flashing from a permantly installed recovery(fastboot flash boot bootname.img).

he will have to go thru one process or the other anytime he wants to change roms that contain different kernels, otherwise the phone will hang at the splash screen.

further,he cannot change radios or splash screens,as htcdev only unlocks boot, system, and recovery.
