Help Easy Tether PRO????

It's offered @ amazon half price, but, can it Not be used Now bc Verizon is "blocking it"? Via not rooted phones. Will this work like it should do I could use my tablet through my X?
I'm confused! Please verify someone.

but saying that, if you easy tether, I have gotten a message that I will have to pay a fee for tiered tethering even using easy tether.

by the way, could i easy tether an iPad to my DroidX?? that will help out hugely when i travel, my wifi works better thatn 1st gen iPad

I ain't got said message, but I don't do it alot. I don't know about ipad because easy tether requires a usb connection.

Go back and read the directions from easytether....I read somewhere not to go through Verizon's tethering...or you will pay....follow the instructions.

I've always used it on my Droid and Droid X with no issues and no high charges. But, not that I've upgraded to the LG Revolution it seems I can not use EasyTether unless the phone is put in Internet Connection mode, and I think that charges. Anyone know a way around this?
