Easytether speed

I am testing Easytether Lite. I getting abour 1300 kbps using my regular connection (wifi, DSL)
with Easytether I am getting only ~300kbps.
Measured using the what-is-my-ip site.

Is this difference normal?

Its pretty normal to get a significantly worse connection on 3G.

Demache, what do you mean "Wifi in basement with Easy Tether"
Your phone connects via WIFI to your wireless router?
(If it is so, ot not very useful isn't? Tether is needed wheree there is no wifi available...)

I also noticed that the speed is varying widely in subsequent tests.

Also how doi set you phone? USB charge only USB debugging on or off?
