Eclair to Froyo...2.1 to 2.2..

Is this really worth the change. I read about so many people having problems with the upgrade, for what ever reasons.I know most are user related. I have the Wild Fire .
At the moment i have no problems with 2.1, everything seems to work,
Can i expect the wow factor with the upgrade. I have had notice by my service provider that i can upgrade.
I am just scared i will develop problems, which i dont really need.
I am not into the rooting thing.
 
Froyo is a good upgrade. You'll notice your Wildfire runs smoother and uses less battery. Froyo also allows you to move apps to sd card.

Make sure you don't have a Task Killer instaled. But hey, even with Eclair these are completely unnecessary.

Go ahead, upgrade your phone, it's well worth it.

If during the upgrade process your phone appears to freeze, don't worry and have patience, it will continue.

It is worth upgrading.
Things that improved on mine, the phone would not crash as much, in fact since the upgrade over 4 or 5months ago, it has re-booted itself twice, whereas before it would be 3 or 4 times a week.
Battery life is better, not brilliant but a little improvement.
Can move apps to SD.
And DO NOT install a task killer, it makes it worse and its not needed on 2.2 :( This I would also say is on any of the android OS versions.
Me i have not had any problems since upgrade, only positives:)
 
Does the phone still operate the same way as before, or is it a whole new learning curve again?

Have no fear:-) No new learning curve. Just a few extra things, like the ability to move apps (that support it) to your SD card.
