Hello everyone,

I just got a Samsung Captivate and I love it. But there are four applications at the bottom of the screen that includes, Phone, Email, Browser, and Applications. They came there with the phone. I was wondering if you can remove/edit these 4 applications so you can put others there. Because I would like to replace the samsung email app with the google email app. Please help. Thank you!

I found this: T-Mobile Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S) gets reviewed

About 1/4 of the way down...

"It looks like you can customize the dock on the bottom of the screen, but only the two icons in the middle. To do this, you much go into your app launcher, and make sure the View Type is on Customizable Grid, which you can change by hitting Menu > View Type > Customizable Grid. While still in the Application launcher, hit Menu > Edit to change the two middle dock icons. Not the most intuitive, but we're glad we have the option! Thanks welshy992 for the tip!"

Thank you very much. That did the trick!

Or, Ditch touchwiz and go to Launchepro. You can have whatever you want there, it holds 5 total, and you can scroll the botom bar sideways.

I see no reason for anyone to continue using TouchWiz Launcher when the other options are so much better. (Took me one day to realize I wanted something different than the stock TW Launcher).

Give it a try, I can almost promise you'll like it.
