Editing applications on app bar?

Okay I have the samsung galaxy s2 but have a straight talk phone. This was the closest S2 forum I could find. I am running gingerbread. Is there a way to change the applications in app bar on the home screen(probably not the right term you know where the phone, internet and applications tabs are). I have downloaded dolphin and made it my default browser but, when I touch the internet icon on the bar it still takes me to the stock internet browser.

I get that it is because this is a different application but how do i make this the dolphin browser instead of the stock browser. I know lazy all i have to do is open the dolphin app but the other is just so much more convenient.

thanks in advance!!

Why wouldn't you just update that phone to Jelly Bean? if your stock you can go to your settings and get official update or you could load a rom .

The part you are referring to is called the "dock".

To edit what application shortcut cuts appear in your doc, open your application drawer. Tap the far left soft key and select edit. Tap the minus sign on the current browser in your dock. You can now drag whatever application you want into the dock. Press the home soft key when you've finished editing your dock.

Good luck!
