editing files in system folder on hero

[AndroidHero]

sorry if there is a thread on the topic but oh well. I was using Astro and i found the folder on the Hero that has all the boot images, sounds, and animations. i was trying to create my own custom animations and put them in there to replace the others. Well when i try to copy the files into the folder it says i have insufficient permission so i was wondering if anyone knew of a way around that without rooting or something like that!

thanks ahead of time!

No way I know of... root = Sufficient permissions
