EE / Orange / T-Mobile S3 LTE Questions

I'm a T-Mobile UK customer and am thinking of upgrading to the S3 LTE without the 4G. As I don't want 4G at the moment I believe my upgrade will be handled by T-Mobile. As a result, will the S3 I receive be sim-locked and T-Mobile branded?

I would have thought I would receive the EE branded S3 as it is a LTE phone, but the staff at the call centre are telling me different things, so I don't know what to believe.

No one knows for sure I don't think. I upgraded to the S3 lte on an EE plan and received an unlocked handset.

Can you tell what is the Baseband version and Build number of your S3? I have ordered an upgrade from T-Mobile and would like to compare the handset i receive with what you have.

On a similar line, I'm due for an upgrade & want the s3 lte, after banging my head against a brick wall through t-mobile's web site I rang & was told not only could I upgrade early but had a £240 "loyalty credit"to use on either the phone cost or monthly bill , only problem they won't let me use this on their standard tarrifs, only the"special upgrade",-£16/month , but even after using my bonus the phone would still cost £200!!! yet on the web site £15.50 tarrif & phone would only cost £10, but I'm being told I can't (as an upgrade) compare!
Anyone had any similar trouble/ideas


Just upgraded in store. £12 month 300 minutes 300 texts 1.5 Mb but £200 for the phone. On the upside just sold my old d defy through asda for £47! You just have to keep banging on to customer services.
