Help EE05 modem update?

I am running midNIGHT rom 5.3, Bonsai 4.0.1, and EC05. From what I have gathered so far all I have to do is upgrade from a .zip file. If that is true, where can I get the EE05.zip file? I would like to update just the modem.

Do you mean the ee03 modem? Either way all you have to do is flash it thru odin.

About halfway down in the second post is the modem file.

OK.

How do I flash the modem in Odin? Put your phone in Download mode by holding 1 on the keyboard and the power button until you get to a yellow triangle. Connect the phone to USB. Open Odin, load the PIT in PIT and the modem in PDA (or Phone - both work). Uncheck everything on the left except Auto Reboot. Click the big button.

But where is the PIT?

Okay, after my past nightmares with odin, and failures the clockwork, I've figured out a failsafe way to flash roms and go back to rooted stock in the event something goes wrong....First, Flash ReRFS.zip to go back to stock, you won't be rooted, BUT you'll have CW 2.5.0.1, now, instead of rooting with Clockwork Mods, flash, the Clean Kernel, this will root and up CW, once there you can successfully flash the latest EE05 or EE03 offering...

I'm on midNIGHT 5.3 with Bonsai 4.0.1, modem EE05. Which battery mod is compatible with it? I tried that battery mod app listed in the Themes&Apps section by Impaler but it wasn't able to read what ROM I was using, it only showed that I had EE05.

Also, has anyone tried using the new lockscreen mod?

I have seen a couple of post referring to EE05 being a fix to EE03. Many people say there is GPS issues and bad network slowdowns with EE03. Seems to be agreed upon that you should go EC05 or EE05. So this is what I was talking about. I am willing to give EE03 a try though.

When flashing the modem you dont need a pit, just put the modem in the pda slot, connect and flash.

Ok first things first here, ec05 is latest official 2.2 release, ee03 is the leaked 2.3 version for our phones. The ee03 modem has been noted to greatly increase 4g reception for some, does nothing for 3g. And others have reported decreased battery life with it. I have used it for a long while, i dont live in a 4g area, and found no real gain or loss on my phone. Most odin/driver issues are entirely usb cable related. I have used odin over 100 times without a failed result yet. And like i stated in my last post all you need to do to flash the ee03 modem is to put the ee03 modem file in the pda, no pit need with it.
I have tried the lock screen and its nice. You just need to do it after a fresh rom flash or else you will run into issues. I just wish i could use it with my favorite them else i would be using it now as i love the rotary dial unlock. Hope this helps :-)
