eHRPD to evdo on Bionic?

With the Thunderbolt, we could get into the EPST settings and change the 3G network type to evdo from eHRPD. This accomplished a few things...

1) [Negative] Made the 3G/4G handoff slower

2) [Positive] It put it back on the same level as all the 3G-only phones, i.e. a reliable 3G connection even when the LTE/4G network was down or hiccuping.

3) [Positive] Once again, it made the phone reliable again, at least on 3G only...

I've tried a few apps like LTE Switch and Network to get into the settings, but it doesn't seem to go "deep" enough like the EPST settings on the Bolt.

If there was a way to change this on the Bionic, that would at least help tide us over until one of two things happens... 1) the LTE network matures to a decent level of reliability, or 2) a magical OTA solves the problems completely...

It is unchartered territory for me ... the Test area (that is apparently reset to defaults when you power on) has a "Network mode" option that allows you to select amongh the types.

You will need to do the experimentation yourself.

I was just pointing you to the "hidden menu".

Sorry I didn't mean to ask you to actually do it... just to see if it was there - and it sounds like that's probably the section I'm looking for.

Thanks again... wish I had my phone with me now!
