It can't hurt. All you have to do to calibrate is to drain it completely, give it plenty of time to charge fully (whilst turned off) and then boot into recovery mode and wipe the battery stats.

Cheers. So you mean use it like normal/use high battery intensive apps and let it run down? heard you need to try to turn it on and off till the phone doesn't reposnd then charge it.

Wiping battery stats doesn't affect the rom does it?

You don't have to deliberately drain it quickly (unless you need to do it quickly). Just so long as it doesn't have enough power to boot.

And no, it won't affect the ROM.
