Root Eliminating the Google Search in ICS 4.0.3 Home Screen

I just upgrade to ICS 4.0.3 and I am looking for a way to eliminate the Google Search from the Home Screen on my HTC Incredible.

I seen a posy about disabling the App, but then it renders the entire Search app from functioning, I just want to remove it from the Home Screen.

Not that I want to tell you not to do something but what benefit would you stand for having the bar disabled? Google Put the bar there for convenience and if you were to remove it you would only be left with a useless open area because the same area is used as the 'remove app from homescreen' bar. That being said, the easiest way to remove it would be to install a different launcher for your phone. The only ICS ones that I know of are trebuchet and Nova launchers but I am pretty sure that GB launchers are compatible with ICS so you could install GO launcher EX, Launcher Pro, or some other launcher which may be your favorite and the bar would then be gone!

I have Go Launcher EX installed in one of my ROMS ( I have GingerBread 2.3.4 ROM, ICS 4.0.3 Clean, and ICS 4.0.3 w GO), that tells me that it has code in it that has it removed. But I was wondering if the Search bar itself can be unloaded from the HomeScreen withOUT disabling the feature, if I want to search all I need to do is bring up the browser..

I like the ICS Clean, but can't browse Photo album or change my wallpaper to a picture from my SDcard, and the HTC Sense (Animated Weather/Clock is installed) and no music player is on the ROM, but other than that I like it..
