Elusive Flip cover...

Hi Phandroid Friends,
So, I know the topic of flip cover or not is a hot one, but I'm not meaning to go down that road. I am a flip cover lover and have two at the moment to keep my aesthetics fresh. :)

However, I do need some help...
In a screen shot of when they were releasing the Note 2, there is an official Maroon colored flip case. Please don't pass judgement, but maroon is my favorite color and I want it!

I've searched like crazy and cannot find an official one in that color. If you guys/gals are better at this process than I or if you just have more info, please help a fellow N2er out. Again, I really only want it if it is from Sammy, as the other ones might not have NFC, made from different material and so on. I'm sorry to be picky, but I know if anyone can help, it's this community.

My advice, just to go ebay and search for "note 2 flip cover". Sort it in price low-to-high with US seller, and choose whatever color you like. I'm sure you will close to the color you are looking for and it will cost you $5-$7.

Thanks for the advice. I have done exactly what you said, but keep coming up with every color under the sun, but that darn maroon, haha. AND those ones I find on Ebay say it is for the model N7100 and I'm not sure if that would even work with my Verizon model. But again, thanks for trying, I DO appreciate it.

Physical simensions of all the Note 2's are the same and if the cover on ebay has the NFC on the back cover, then it should work perfectly fine.

-EDIT- Regarding the Maroon flip cover wallet, it might be a Korea exclusive, just like the HM5100 BT S Pen is. Fortunately, that's easy to find on ebay due to the part number, but without the part number, it'll be kinda difficult.

Have you tried searching through the Korean Samsung website (just use Google translate or another website translator). If you can get a part number from there, assuming it's available through the Korean website, then you should be able to find a seller that actually has the cases for sale.

I'm going to try the Korean site like you mentioned.
 
Watch out for Knock-Offs! I got a flip cover that was supposedly Genuine Samsung and it had no NFC antenna. Just a heads up, be mindful of what you're getting. Oversea's vendors are notorious for black market items. :smokingsomb:

Yes, I've noticed that the eBay cheapies seem to be missing the NFC antennas...at least the images don't show them.

I've tried the Samsung Korea site and it was a challenge.
 
Update:
I've been buying flip covers like it's my job (I love the versatility) and I finally found a flip cover in maroon with the nfc bits. EBay is a beautiful thing. Anyone else interested, I've got the names of a few trusted sellers.
