Help Email Account Issues

Lurker
I've recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S2, and am configuring multiple email accounts through the email app that comes with the Samsung - one for personal, one for business.

Both were working fine, however I recently had to change my domain name for my business account, and therefore the old email needed to be updated with the new details.

Therefore, I deleted the existing business email account that was setup, and am now attempting to set up the new account with the new domain name, however once details for setup are entered, the auto setup does not recognise the domain name.

I then proceed through manual setup, inserting domain name and ports as given to me by my domain name host, however inbox is now constantly 'refreshing', and sent emails remain in the outbox, and emails sent to this email are not being received.

Is this an issue with the phone itself, or the domain provider? I've had him migrate my data to a new server, and now recently completely reset my account, however neither seem to be doing the trick.

Thanks for your help.

I have 5 accounts on phone, 2 Google's Gmail and 3 independent domains. All work fine without problem. I'm guessing it's something in the setting or on the server end.
It's hard to say without knowing details, but over all, it shouldn't be a problem, and certainly it's not the phone.

Hi,

I've a similar issue with POP3 email set-up using an independent domain on the S2

my sample details:
email address: joebloggs@independentdomain.com
POP3 server: pop.gpo.com
pop3 username: gpouser

I have succeeded in setting up a pop3 email account, which receives mail to joebloggs@independentdomain.com fine. But when I send from this account it puts gpouser@pop.gpo.com in the from field of the sending email. any ideas??

gpouser is the logon to the Pop3 server, but the email address is joebloggs@independentdomain.com and I want that address in the from field in any emails that I send. Can you let me know how I might solve this to get the correct email address in the from field???

thanks for all replies,
Horgand
