Root Email account settings backup

Is there a simple way to back email account settings? I have about 4 email accounts I keep track of n it would be nice if I could just back em up instead of entering the info each time I flash a new rom. Gmail restores my main gmail account but not the about gmail account I have with my college.

Any clues or suggestions???

Oh and I'm getting good re-entering the info but was wondering lol

There is a backup solution to backup your email account because backup is important to avoid loss in case of disruption. I am one of the developer team member, and would like to share a simple tool that lets you enable to have gmail backup or IMAP backup. The tool is known as Beyond Inbox.

The simplest way to start the backup using Beyond Inbox. It generate separate file(.eml) for each email message.

Supported platforms - Windows, Mac OS X & Linux.

I meant more for just the account settings on the phone for the email servers. With imap all my emails are on the server until I delete them so they're not a big deal. Just gets tedious entering in mail server info after a new flash lol.

Then again I prolly not be flashing anything new soon since isaac has moved on to other projects n pip dont have service on his ascend to fix the mms issues on cm6 and 7. SO until another dev picks it up or I figure it out n try compiling it..... lol

Thanx tho :)

I'm finding androids phone suck in this department. Little can be backed up without root. Resetting the phone or transferring to a new phone will require some time and effort.

I thought blackberry was so behind the times but they will IMAGE the phone (blackberry) and transfer it completely to a new phone (transfer wizard). EVERYTHING as it was on your old phone- email accounts, apps, messages, logs, EVERYTHING is a mirror of your old phone??

Why can only fanboys who root be allowed to do this on Android?
