Root Email app that ignores Exchange rules?

I seem to remember there was some hack to the native email client or one of the other popular clients that allows you to ignore rules set by your Exchange admin and prevent them from remote wiping your phone. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find it.

But seriously ... I remember something about patching the email apk or something along those lines. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Ok, I found a solution. Enhanced Email in the Marketplace ignores Exchange security policy.

Haha, just be careful. If something happens and you bypassed security, then you might be liable instead of the admin. I'm not sure of your situation and it really doesn't matter to me, but if your account has privileged access and your phone gets lost or stolen then they will need to remote wipe it. Just sayin'.

Understood. I plan on using htcsense.com for remote wipe once it's working on the TB. The problem with our local security policy is it requires a password change once a month and if you muck up your password three times, it auto wipes your phone. I'd be fine with that if work bought the device, but they didn't. Given my position, no one is going to care if they find my phone other than to sell it on eBay.

You can ask your exchange admin to disable remote wipe.

You can try the app Touchdown. Just make sure that you download the free version and then go back and download the Touchdown License Key ( $20 ) to be able to access all of your corp e-mail.

Does anyone know of other apps that will bypass my Exchange email rules? Outlook sorts my emails so fast that they get sent to their respective folders b4 I can read them. Going thru 30+ folders and refreshing every time is a nightmare.

So far I've found Enhanced Email ($9.99), Touchdown ($19.99) and Email+. Email+ is much better priced ($1.99) but no ICS support so far.
