Help Email Blues

Hi. I just got my Commando and really like it, except... I'm unable to send emails through one of my POP3 email accounts. I've tried the stock email app and K9, with the same lack of results. When I set it up, it finds and communicates with the receiving server fine, but no matter what I do or how I change settings, it will not connect to the send server (mail.xxx.com). My sales rep told me it's an issue with this phone. I'm hoping it's not.

Any advice or help will be greatly appreciated.
 
Go to your mail provider's site and find the settings, incoming server, outgoing server, whether user name is the whole email address or just the username (as in username@isp.com). And whether it requires an secure socket layer (SSL) connection or particular port.

I'm shooting in the dark here, but check if the SSL setting is on.

Thanks for the reply. You were real close. I needed to set the security to Login. Once I did that K9 flew. The setting was unavailable in the stock app.
