Help Email coming in to two different places?

My email seems to come in through the default mail on my Inc2 as well as a Gmail app. I've tried removing one of them, but when I go to remove the app, I don't have an option to remove it...only Force Stop. Help? I really don't need my email coming in twice.

Whichever one you don't want, go into settings for that app and disable notifications.

I disabled notifications for Gmails app b/c the native app actually notifies you more quickly.

I turned off notifications in the gmail app and now I don't get notified by either app. WTH?
