Help email download problem - once only per reboot

Hi,
New to this forum.
I have recently experienced an issue with the email on my Note 10.1 2014 Edition LTE (SM-P605) running Android 4.4.2.
Recently (well after updating to 4.4.2) the email download works once only after a reboot. Thereafter is constantly indicates it is attempting to download new emails but nothing happens. While in this mode it does however send emails.
A shutdown/restart and it successfully downloads emails once more.

I'm running the same email configuration on my GALAXY S4 phone (GT-I9505 / Android 4.3) without issue.

Any suggestions more than welcome.

Oddly after a week of this issue, it magically disappeared overnight. Maybe the update of Samsung apps included the fix.

Oddly after a week of this issue, it magically disappeared overnight. Maybe the update of Samsung apps included the fix.

Unfortunately I was premature with the above. After sleeping the tablet, the inability to download email is still present.

With the help of Samsung's support, it required a factory reset to cure the problem.
