Help Email lag

Hi guys,
I get a lag in receiving my email, (aol)
This morning I was on my laptop and received an email and my Droid received it 25 minutes later.
However an hour later I received another email and my Droid received it about 10 seconds later.
Is this normal ??
Did I miss a setting that will fix this ??

the fetch timing probably fell just right - your X might be set up to fetch email every 15 minutes, so you won't see them on the computer and phone at the same time unless you select push, which uses more battery...

Were you at the some location when both events happened? Were you using same data source, e.g., Wifi or 3g, during both events?

If different locations and/or different data access points, then it's probably signal/bandwidth related.

If same everything...I have no idea.

I have the push on, howvever the fetch was set on 15 minutes so I set it to manual.
Yes /No ??

Manual means you have to tell it to fetch. Just set it for every 5 minutes or so.

Just be aware that the more frequently you fetch, the more it drains your battery.
