Email not regularly syncing?

I have Gmail and Hotmail attached to this Rezound and i might get 1/20 emails unless i go to the mail and screw around for 5 minutes with it...ten it tends to show the new emails. Even after many many refreshes of the email. ?? I have Juice Defender, maybe it is keeping email from syncing? I have Data as always on.

Welcome to Android Forums and the Rezound area. Have you checked how often you have your two mail accounts syncing? Perhaps they aren't looking for new mail very often. I do not use Juice Defender and would advise you to discontinue it's use. I'm not knocking the app as much as I'm knocking a battery conservation program. It's pretty much accepted knowledge that the battery saving programs on the modern Android phones use as much power as they save. The OS is now designed to manage the power usage and yet let the phone operate as designed.
If you must use Juice Defender, you might try disabling it for a few days to see if it's your email culprit. In the process you can check your power use and decide if you really want to keep the app.

I hope this will help your email problem. If not, perhaps another will chime in with some other suggestions. I hope you enjoy these forums and they serve you well.

Yup, frustrating since I use this phone and e-mail to run some serious business stuffs.

I talked with Verizon tonight for these issues:

Email not syncing except maybe one every day or other day and even then only showing 1/20th of my emails actually recieved.

"FriendsStream" not showing a lot of the pictures and when i click on the pictures it is showing it thinks about it forewver then just shows a black screen. (*sometimes restarting the phone lets me see the pics)

Some home screen app pictures disappear only leaving the app words.

Facebook makes me "Tap To refresh" 20 or 30 times before showing anything because it says it has no signal even when there are bars.

4G cutting in and out a lot.

Backup Assitant Plus (I have 25GB to upload pics, apps, music, etc) does not function.

The Verizon guy had no idea how to fix any of these so he told me to do a factory reset and get a hold of him by Saturday to get a new phone if it's still not working right..

Called Verizon again last night and asked to return this Rezound and pay for a new phone. Was directed to technical support instead who told me that because its been 29 days and not within the 14 day trial period I was ineligable to change phones in any way because they would involve them "physically breaking the contract " and he might get fired (lol...)

The Verizon forums tell tales of people returning this phone for the same issues up to 5 times without resolve.

They are instead sending me a refurb or new Rezound and if this one doesn't work I'm cancelling my contract and moving to another company.

I just cannot afford to have a phone that has constant problems syncing email, internet not working half the time, 4G always cutting out...

Bullshit. Thier end of the Contract is to provide a functionin device.
