Help Email not syncing

my yahoo email and work email all of the sudden quick syncing. my yahoo email used to just tell me when I had a new email without me even having to set it up to sync but it's not even doing that.

what's the deal?

I went under the sync settings and everything is setup right.

Have you installed any new apps since the change? You could try clearing cache and data by going into settings > applications > manage applications > mail.

also a reboot wouldn't hurt.

Not sure what caused it but clearing the cache helps reduce lag and gets rid of whatever bugs are plaguing that app.
