Email not working correctly

Hi there

My first smartphone was a Samsung Galaxy Europa. I set it up to download my emails (POP) and this would allow me to pick up anything important from the phone, and still download my emails on my PC for later viewing. However, if I download the emails onto the HTC, it stops the emails from coming to Outlook.

My email address is with Virgin, and I can also view these as webmail - I think their webmail service uses Google Mail behind the scenes.

So what is my HTC doing to my emails that the Europa didn't used to.

I would have thought you would have had to use IMAP rather than POP to leave it on the server. tehre should be a setting to leave it on the server anyway but I cannot remember as I do not have teh HTC mail client any more.

Thanks, just tried to set it up as an IMAP account, but the account won't veryify. I am assuming that IMAP is not possible with Virgin?!

Maybe I'll have a look for another email client on the marketplace, see if that works....
