Is there a way to have an email notification sound different from the default notification sound? I couldn't find it in the settings.

For GMail - Yes - While in GMail hit menu/Settings/Select Ringtone.
For Exchange and POP Mail - No

Search is your friend. Its been talked about in other forums.

what i did was change the notification sound to the sound i wanted for email then went into the messaging app and changed the notification sound in there. this way i have to different sounds. one for email and a different one for text
