Help EMail notification with GB

With 2.2, the notify once selection worked ... I'd hear DROID once, and not again with subsequent emails.

With 2.3, each email notifies even with the selection to do it once. I rebooted with it in the notify for all then selected (gmail) single ... for gmail it seems to work now. The email client notifies for each, and I don't see a separate option. It woke my wife up 3 times last night ... was told to get that darn phone out of the bedroom at night ... which I can do, but would prefer to hear the ringer if someone calls.

Is this a known issue that Google is working on?

I can't help with the issue as it is, but I switched to gmail notifier a long time ago. It allows you to set times for when to stop the notifications, such as bedtime. It also lets you set the led notification color of your choosing.
