Can I set my new Droid X to vibrate or make a sound when I receive an email?

Open gmail, press the menu button, tap "More," and then tap "Settings." Scroll down and you'll see the notification settings.

and/or:

Open email, press the menu button, tap "Email Settings," and then tap "Notifications."

The second option is if you have an email account that doesn't come through gmail but through the other stock email program.
