email notification

I want an audio notification for voicemail and text messages - but I would rather NOT have any audio notification for incoming email. I prefer to check email on my own and not to be constantly reminded that a new one has just arrived in my gmail INBOX.

Is there any way to inhibit email notifications but retain the other notifications?

Yeah...just go into the mail program you're using and turn it off in the settings.
