Root Email notification

I recently flashed a custom GB rom and everything works. But the one thing I cant figure out is why I cant set my email notification. Everytime I get an email it plays a sound that sounds like a ringer to a cordless phone. I have my settings to play a certain notification actually it is the one that Ive always used. But now I cant get it to play. I cant even find this notification sound that it is playing anywhere on my phone or sd card. It just started. Anyone have any ideas?

This happened to me when I flashed the Kingdom Alliance roms. How long has it been since you flashed the rom?

It usually takes mine 24 hours before my notifications/ringtones are available.

Wow, thats right on the money. I flashed the Kingdom Alliance rom on Sunday and it started with the mystery notification. Then I started having various different issues with that rom so I flashed Mik 2.2 about this time yesterday. I can choose the notification I want it just wont play it when I get an email.

I've never had this issue. I'd wipe cache and dalvik cache and see. May need to wipe and reflash.

I thoroughly wipe before flashing roms. The Alliance rom is the only one I have issues where it doesn't see ringtones and music immediately. I just flashed Evolved Rom and I don't have this issue.
