Email notification

[Newbieoldguy]

Hi People,
I'm an old guy and this is my first tablet. I just love it but I have just one problem. Is it possible to have the tablet wake when I get an email?
Thanks
Just realized that I didn't say that I had a Nexus 7 with a sim
card.

Hi Newbieoldguy. Welcome to Android Forums and congrats on the new tablet. I don't know what sort of notifications are possible on your tablet. I would suggest checking in with the other owners of the Nexus 7. I'm sure they can tell you what's possible for email notifications. Here is a link to the area where your tablet is discussed. It should prove to be quite informative and interesting so please check it out. Have fun and thanks for joining AF. Nexus 7 - Android Forums
