Help Email Notifications gone

I had to take the battery out of my DX because it locked up. Prior to this I would get a flashing led and or a sound when email became available. What did I miss to have this happen again.

This is my first smartphone and I am just amazed on the power in such a small size.

If you have a Task Killer installed, kill the "autokill" feature or uninstall it altogether and reboot.
