Help email problem

It started last night, it will sound and show i have an email in the notification bar, and then it will just disappear after about 2 seconds and the emails dont show up at all in the email app. If i click the notification in the bar it will take me to the email app but it wont show a new email. I've restarted, pulled out the sim, and factory reset...still doing it

No, lol. Spam folder is empty.

Also, now i'm in the vicious cycle caused by myself of an endless loop of email. I tried to email myself, so now if i go to the email app, it will refresh and show i have an email in the notifications. When i touch it, it takes me to my email app, and it will refresh and show i have an email in the notifications...

also, its only one account. I can send/receive on gmail, but only send on the other
EDIT: i just tried to delete, add it back, still the same

apparently its the mail app itself not working, so i worked around it by importing through gmail

Try deleting the email account off the email program and then reload it back in.
