email received count?

I am using the stock gmail icon/app and whenever I get a new message it always shows double what is actually there.

Ive never had that problem but the app can be found in the market for free so maybe uninstalling and reinstalling it would help

If its version 2.3.2 (latest version), for some (including me) it has trouble marking the emails as read on the server.
