Help email refresh button on continously

For the last few days the email refresh runs continously when I go into my email.
Any idea what could b wrong and how to stop it?
I'm with Virgin Media.
I also think that I'm not receiving emails at the time they are sent.

Ok it's sorted. I deleted the account and reloaded it. This worked.

Try k-9 mail

Push notifications (dosent waste your data by syncing unless a new email is there)
