Note that your actual order number would be different than what you got as a web order number

Yea the order number is different (at least my was) than what I received. You'll see the order number once you look it up by wireless number.

Ah, the web order number is different. Wow, ATT definitely seems to have some poorly implented IT infrastructure.

Anyway, I have 3 items listed (freight, the phone and various sim) and they are all listed as backordered and in progress.

Man I would call and ask to speak with a manager, my update date was in November, they gave me an exception. You have to order over the phone when doing this.
 
My contact end date is July but upgrade date is 2-20. I don't want to pay retail I am fine with a 2yr contract.... But I will try calling

Dude 2/20 is Sunday, if I can get an exception for November you most certainly can get one for 2/20. Call again and be persistent
 
The only email I got from AT&T was the rate plan (minutes/rollover) change. I checked and have already been charged the money for the upgrade.
 
My order status still says "in progress" but now it says qty back-ordered 0 whereas earlier is said qty back-ordered 1 :-) hope that's a good sign, lol...

Interesting, might be getting close. How about putting your progress in the sticky :D
 
I preordered an iPhone4 and got the same "backordered" messages from Premiere. The phone actually ended up arriving before release day. There should be nothing to worry about.
 
one interesting thing I notice on ATT website's home page - it does not say Pre-order on atrix page any more does that give any sign to us /??? I am excited.....
