Email signature image issues

Nightmair

Lurker
Hey,

Wondering if anyone has some advice. I have put an image in to the signature box on the Note 2 but when I email anyone it duplicates the image and sends it as a fecking enormous attachment. So the reduced size image is still on the page as the signature, but the image is also in original size and huge either under or above the signature image.

Anyone got any ideas how I can stop it sending as an attachment? Incidentally, when I write the email it isn't listed as an attachment that can be removed. It just automatically adds this from the image in the signature.

Any help or advise gratefully received.

Email is a text protocol. Adding a picture int he signature will do different things, depending on the sending program, the sending server, the receiving sender and the receiving program.

There are no guaranteed ways of doing anything with images in email, which is why it's always recommended that email be limited to text or, with the choice of the recipient, html.

Unless you have a single recipient for this signature, there's no way to make sure that any particular recipient will receive any particular format. You could set the default image size (if you're using the email app, you didn't specify) to 10% to minimize the attachment size.
