Help Email so slow

I used to have iphone and viewing, delete was so much faster than Captivate. Is that the way it is or I have a problem?

Are you deleting from gmail or something else? Delete is delete regardless of how you look at it. I've never had an issue with it.

Yes, delete is impossibly slow on my Captivate. I select 6 emails and then wait 30 seconds or more before they are deleted. For that reason alone, I downloaded the free K9 email app and it works great.

I tap delete and mine are gone instantly...not sure why there would be a problem deleting email hosted on a server somewhere.

I deltet mine and they come back 10 minutes later as new.

Like gcobb said, it all depends on the app. The Captivate runs a different OS and different email apps than the iPhone. And on the Captivate, you have your choice of many different email apps: stock client, Gmail client, K-9, Maildroid, Touchdown, etc.

I use K-9. It's fast, free and works great.
