Help email sync

Is there anyway to stop the email from syncing or pushing constantly. On my previous phones I could set a duration time to sync or just to push. There seems to be not options for this and email is always running according to the running apps on the phone.

Try going to the settings-->applications-->running services-->email widget. press to stop. Let me know if it works!
