Is there a way to copy text from a Email and paste it into Handcent ?

Is there a way to copy text from a Email and paste it into Handcent ?

You can definitely paste into Handcent by long pressing in the text box after copying text or by pressing menu. I couldn't figure out a way to copy text in the gmail app and I don't use the mail app so I'm not sure if you can copy text there. If not, I'd say to access your email account in the browser instead of an app because you can copy text there.
