On Acer A500 I have tried running a few email clients but there always seems to be something missing. Main thing I want working is that the emails are saved rather than disappear after I read them.

Any recommendations?

Thanks.

I assume you're using Gmail, if so you can add lables. I have misc save, purchase in process, purchase save, & a few others.

I have now tried K-9, looks good and seems to have all the adjustments but emails still disappear after reading no matter what settings I use.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks.

I use K9 Mail and my setup requires me to delete from the Trash folder after the mail is deleted from the In Box. It may be how you have set up the account. I have been using this on my Droid X and now my Acer A500.
When I delete emails and what I like about the k9 Mail is that you hit the menu key and choose folders, then Trash, then Select All, then delete or if you wish to read or forward and email you can from the Trash folder.
Hope this helps. I know I love this app because of the ability to select all.

The Gmail app and the email app on the A500 look identical to me, and they're both annoying lacking a select all option so you have to select each email one at a time. I've also noticed that all emails from my two ISP accounts disappear after they're read, but the emails in my various personal domains don't disappear until i delete them.

I've gotten used to the email app that's on my HTC Evo 4G, which has that select all feature and none of my emails disappear no matter what account. Apparently, this is a proprietary HTC/SenseUI app, but I'm going to look into if it can be ported over to my A500, because it is the perfect email app (at least for me).

Thanks, all I want to be able to do is save to a folder that I create and not have all emails disappear once they are deleted from the server.
