This may be more than you're looking for, but the Executive Assistant widget includes email (+ any combination of texts, calendar, missed calls, rss, twitter, and facebook): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appventive.ExecAssist

There's also a free (ad-supported) version.

Please let me know if you have any questions or problems.

Cheers,
Steve

I use Pure Messenger and am very satisfied with it.

what are you looking for in an email widget?

well the one u suggested looked to cluttered . no matter what theme i used. its just a bunch of words bunched all together. the stock email is okay but i wish it wasnt white and more customizable.

just looking for an email widget that shows the header of a email and some body text. but i have a few emails so id like there to be a way it all to show up in one widget without confusion like the stock one.

Have you tried Pure Messenger Widget. It is pretty customizable and has options for email.
