Email will not send

I am having an issue with sending emails. I can receive just fine but it will not send. The settings are exactly the same as my Outlook 2003 settings. If this is not the place to ask please send me to the right area of this site.

I had the same problem. It turned out my email to be sent was backdated and therefore illegal to send. Also, on another occasion, the issue was on Verizon's end. On the third occasion, I had delete and reinstall the account.

Just some ideas. Also, you may want to call your carrier and have them troubleshoot the issue for you.

A stab in the dark: try smtp port 587

Also:
-try K9, free from market
-try with and without authentication
-have gmail check your other account by going to gmail.com site > settings > accounts
