Help Emails delete themselves

I have set up my emails which work fine, but after say about 2 weeks they delete themselves from my phone.

I have no idea why they randomly get deleted.

Has anyone had this problem or know of a way to stop it from happening?

Also the standard email widget does not work properly. It is not up to date with my inbox.

Are you on ICS?

The email widget on ICS does not work properly. You can force a refresh by scrolling down on the widget until it bounces back.

Don't think it can delete the mails on its own. However, there is a setting for period to sync. Or in short, the period where emails would be shown. If you set it to 2 weeks, then any email later than 2 weeks would not be shown. If its really deleting itself, then I am stumped since don't have that problem.

Yes. I am on ICS. The period to sync emails is set for 3 days. I have set it now for one month. Is there a way that I can set it so that they never disappear?

The emails are not suppose to disappear. Its just not synced to or shown on the phone. Its still in the server. If its not in the server, then I actually don't know what's wrong. As for the widget, I don't know how to fix it other than waiting for update to maybe JellyBean.
