Help Emergency Calls Only on Galaxy S2

Weird. o.o

There's a Globe Prepaid Promo I registered on last night called ALLNETCOMBO25(costs 25php/half a dollar)
Services Provided:
Unlimited Text to all networks (valid for 24hrs)
10 Mins Call to other networks
50 Mins call to other networks
1hr Mobile Internet

Funny because I can use that 1Hr Mobile Internet without any signal from Globe. o.o
P.S.: WiFi connections were off that time.

Just as an idea, I looked at the antenna. It seemed ok, but I bought a new one and replaced it. Phone still showing emergency call most of the time. Just did a hard reset and still the same.

I am really, really disappointed with Samsung and I am not sure whether I'd buy theri products again after this 4 month-old phone developing two serious problems. I can't afford to be throwing good money at kit like this that packs in, unexpectedly, and without being maltreated,

I find it hard to believe that this problem is all over the net yet no-one has identified what is causing it.:(

Just an update since I'm on Jellybean now (SuperNexus ROM)

Ok, so I went to a Samsung Customer Support and Service Center a while I go.

After a loooooong talk, they took my phone and will be given back to me a week after knowing how slow Filipinos work(no discrimination intended,I I'm Filipino as well. XD)

I'll just give an update after I get my phone back. :D/

Surprised. They just gave it back to me a while ago.

Said it was Software issues, they flashed 4.0.4 for me, ta-da, working @ Samsung's Place.
When I got home, ta-da! Back to normal Emergency Calls Only.

<_<
Guess I'll just have to refund this or sell it to another person(which I don't want to do).

Ok, heads-up on my e-calls only issue.

Whilst there may be several malfunctions that cause this - blacklisted aside - I have finally gotten a brief report back from the outsourced Samsung repair company. Though I have yet to receive a detailed engineers report )won't hold my breath!) the company say there was some kind of software fault that they could not rectify and opted to replace the PBA (motherboard).

Now, from what I've seen on the net, this seems to be a regular proceedure for assigned repairers: can't sort it, so just replace the motherboard. If this is the case with mine, then I won't see any detailed report.

As a caveat, do not accept any repair companies telling you your phone can't be 'economically repaired' and just sent back to you with a 'sorry' letter. Take the case up, like I did, with the CEO of Samsung in your country; then you'll get some action done on your phone!

I will update if I ever do get an engineer's report.

Actually, I just contacted Globe as both SMART BUDDY and Sun Cellular(Rival Company of Globe Telecom) SIM Cards work on my phone.

They said to wait 5 days, which will end this Thursday, and will give me feedback and reports on what my case seems to be.

Will update maybe on Saturday or when I receive their e-mail.

Same, I have this problem. Sporadic service that works for brief windows (a few minutes) but mostly not working. Is there a solution?

Is the solution "switch to Smart?"
